Literature Text

Clutching to a sinking vessel,
Water submerging hopes and dreams.
Thunder screams with a pounding treble.
Waves bent on destroying by any means.

A love lost, children forsaken.
Now grasping to a memory fading.
Once a man but no more, everything's taken.
With ignorant determination he keeps fast hold.

It was an outcome expected,
How can you not reap what you sow?
Now suffering taunts. "there's nowhere for you to go."

Redemption is not in conventional means.
Just remember hopes and dreams.
Live your life as a man should,
Never say, "if only I could."

A life determined LIVE.
Time wasted, do not entertain.
Perhaps your soul,
You will finally gain.

Release your sinking vessel

Come Home
This one's alittle different from my other works, and it's also a little more tricky to approach.
It broaches the subject of a father leaving the family, but really it can be any person close to you, and important to your life, leaving for some reason. Obviously this is a touchy subject and something that most people experience at some point, but nonetheless its something easy to write about since it has such emotional power with most readers and writers.

Hope you enjoy it, and thanks for reading!
